Similarities Between Sylvia Ji And Rolf Harris

If you are a fan of art work then you are always on the look out for up and coming young artists as well as established experts. However, sometimes you find artists that you not only relate to on an art level but there is something else that captures your interest. Sometimes it is down to the personality of the artist for example, as artists such as Beryl Cook have had a lot of public praise whilst being panned by critics.

Rolf Harris is an artist that is loved by your average family. Mainly this can be put down to our love for his pop songs and TV shows like Animal Hospital. Rolf Harris is also a prolific painter and has even been given the honour of painting the Queen. Rolf’s likable personality comes across in everything he does, which is why he is such a successful celebrity. As a result Rolf Harris prints have sold very well in the UK.

British painter David Shepherd paints landscapes, animals and steam trains. He is a huge steam train enthusiast but is best known for his conservation work. He even started up the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and was awarded an OBE for services to the conservation of animals. Many of artist David Shepherd prints raise awareness of conservation problems.

Sylvia Ji is a unique young artist from San Francisco. Sylvia Ji prints and paintings can be provocative and often use Mexican themes and styles that would not seem out of place in a tattoo convention. Unlike other artists Sylvia Ji has embraced the use of social networking sites like Myspace to market herself and her art. This has made her art increasingly popular, as people can ask her questions and relate to her on a more personal level.
